People who are suffering from sleep deprivation often complain about waking up in the middle of the night because they cannot sleep. They remember falling asleep but awake at night because their mind is still playing images that have been stored in their memory banks. These images could be pleasant or dreadful.
Memory loss is a fact of life, particularly in elderly people as they age. Memory loss is caused by biological factors like aging, poor nutrition, medications, and environmental factors like noise. An alternative to many aging problems is sleep deprivation, which is caused by our mind playing images that are frightening to our subconscious.
Our brain plays many tricks on us that keep us awake by playing any and all images in our mind. Our brain has developed to act on images to "wake us up" in the case of sleep deprivation.
Do you know what good night images are? They are the sound that our mind uses to actually send us out of our sleep. All that a "good night" does is give our mind a chance to replay the images stored in our brain. When we awaken we see the flickering of the images in our head.
But why do we need good night images? What about good daytime images like blue skies and beautiful sunsets?
When our mind plays its recordings of images of bright blue skies, it is due to the fact that our mind is waking us up with positive imagery. These positive images are the same ones we use to wake up every morning.
Good night images are also helpful to our bodies. They help your body relax and soothe you to sleep. Sleep aids like good night images cause our brain to produce more melanin, which is a hormone that allows our body to become more relaxed and sleepy.
Not only do good night images help your brain send us out of our sleep, they also help us live longer. We have more energy and don't get sick like we do when we are sleep deprived. We feel much better, are better able to focus, and we can even have better relationships with our family.
